Percentages of female, male, and foreign students relative to the total student population. One fact that rather astonished me was that much more females than males were studying in Norway (approx. 60% females vs. 40% males), and that this proportion was relatively stable for the last 20 years. In Germany, in contrast, the gender distribution is more balanced (there was rather a slightly higher proportion of males, particularly when looking 20 years back).
