“La noche de los tambores” (or Night of the Drums) is a party celebrated in Mula in Semana Santa (Holy Week). We dress up with black robes and we go to the town square to start playing the drum at 12 o’clock after playing a cornet.
This started in the 19th century to fight against religious and civil impositions.
It has suffered several changes since then. In 1990 it was declared as a party of regional tourism interest, and in 2009 as a party of national tourism interest.
Now, you can participate in it on Holy Tuesday, Holy Wednesday, Holy Friday and Resurrection Sunday.
