The bar graph displays the calculated cost per distance (NOK/km) for the various trips of the journey I took to my exchange destination in June 2023. Each individual trip is listed as a separate category that includes city of departure, city destination, and mode of transport.
The source data is compiled by myself using (i) receipts of my ticket purchases, and (ii) distances that, except for one transport operator that provided the distance on their own website, were best-guess estimates of the distance for each specific route based on available information found on Google Search and Maps. For instance, for the train I took between Bucharest and Istanbul, I tried to find the best estimate for the distance traveled by that train/operator. I.e., the distances are not air distances, but the actual distance traveled.
The calculations were performed in the Excel sheet.
