These are two orders I placed in the same online shop on the same day, 27 August 2026. One arrived. The other I cancelled 17 minutes after buying it — it was shipped anyway, and never handed over to me.

The upper timeline is the order that went wrong. At 12:16 on 31 August the courier texted that nobody was home. One minute later, at 12:17, the system recorded the parcel as delivered. For ten days a single line in a database decided the case. On 10 September the carrier confirmed in writing that the parcel had never been delivered and was still sitting in their warehouse.

The lower timeline is the other order which went ok.

It happened to be 320 EUR, but it would have happened at any amount.
